Work illness leads to man claiming compensation
A man has been compensated with a six figure sum after his working environment left him with a fatal condition.
The man has been diagnosed with the asbestos related illness, mesothelioma. The man was employed with a firm which produced dryers that were manufactured using asbestos. In addition to this the area where the manufacturing took place also included the lethal substance.
It was his personal contact with the substance that led to the man’s illness. He had been employed by the company for five years and overtime he found himself falling short of breathless at times. He went to a medical professional and was diagnosed with mesothelioma.
After the diagnosis the man decided to speak with a personal injury lawyer to enquire about receiving a compensation claim for the fatal illness that his working environment caused. With the help of the personal injury lawyer, the man was able to receive a compensation claim of £147,000.
