He added: "I've decided that I can't continue working as a lorry driver and I am looking for alternative work, but the current climate combined with my injuries means this has been difficult."

Lorry driver awarded with compensation claim

The efforts from the injury lawyer's firm helped to secure the lorry driver with a settlement from the other driver's insurers, who was found liable for causing the road accident.

Martin Fell a spokesperson from the team said: "The neglect of the BMW driver has left our client with serious back problems and whiplash-like injuries which have forced him to look for alternative work."

Mr Fell concluded by saying: "His injuries mean he is restricted in the careers he can now consider. The level of compensation recovered reflects our clients' predicament."
