Lolly pop lady makes whiplash claim for road accident
A woman, who worked as a lolly pop lady, has received compensation after she was involved in a car accident.
The incident happened when the woman was doing her job. While standing in the middle of the road to let school children cross the road, when a car drove up behind her and knocked down to the ground.
After knocking the woman down, the driver sped off. He was however identified by the police and convicted of various traffic offences.
The woman suffered a number of personal injuries to her right knee and wrist as a result of the accident. Incidents involving car accidents can also lead to whiplash injuries, which mainly affect the neck area, when someone is hit from the back.
The woman was forced to take time off from work, as she suffered psychological trauma, which had an effect on her ability to work.
She had to have counselling for a significant period of time before being able to return to the road where the accident happened.
The woman decided to take her case to court and contact no win no fee solicitors, who represented her in her case. She was given an initial figure by the driver’s insurance provider, but she concluded that the sum was too low.
Her solicitor’s were able to secure a substantially larger sum in court, which the woman accepted as her compensation claim.
