Woman wins whiplash claim
A North East woman has won her whiplash claim for the personal injury she sustained to her neck, due to a collision with a bus.
In July 2009 the woman was on her way back home from a horse riding stable when she was rear-ended by a double decker bus.
Three months after the accident the woman developed chronic pain, which hampered her duties as a saleswoman.
Her friends advised her to discuss her case with an injury lawyers firm to proceed with a claim.
The private bus company initially denied liability for the incident, but the woman's lawyers established negotiations with the group and succeeded in getting the firm to settle the case out-of-court for an undisclosed sum.
After the settlement, the woman stated her desire for a speedy rehabilitation that will allow her to get back in the saddle "as soon as possible".Updated on 19/05/2010
