Pensioner with brain injury and whiplash claims £300,000

A pensioner who suffered personal injury in a car accident outside Charing Cross Hospital, is making a whiplash claim worth more than £300,000.

According to a writ issued at London’s High Court, the 80 year old woman was hit when a car reversed into her. The grandmother fell and hit her head on the pavement.

The accident caused her to suffer a fractured skull, personal injuries to her brain, and whiplash injury.

She had to remain in hospital for six weeks following surgery and has been under constant care after she was discharged.

Her injury lawyers said she will most likely require care, supervision and case management for the rest of her life.

The victim alleges that the driver of the other car is fully responsible for the accident. The defendant was subsequently convicted of driving without due care and attention, prohibited from driving for six months and fined £100.
