Mother launches whiplash claim for daughter
The mother of a nine year old girl who was injured in an horrific incident, is making a legal bid for a compensation claim.
Her daughter suffered whiplash and other personal injury when a car mounted the pavement and collided with a group of Primary school children.
Her daughter was taken to hospital with burn wounds to her upper arms and whiplash, following the car accident.
The crash happened while a group of pupils were on a supervised walk.
A man attending a funeral nearby pulled the little girl free, after she was pinned underneath the car when it mounted the pavement.
The 41 year old driver will not be charged over the incident, said the Suffolk police.
A spokesman for the police said: “Following extensive inquiries into the cause of the collision, and consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, medical reports on the 41-year-old mean police will take no further acction against her.”
The mother of the injured girl and parents of 6 other children involved in the accident, plan to launch compensation claims against the driver.
One of the other 6 children has been left with serious personal injuries including a broken collarbone and two broken legs. She is expected to make a full recovery. Whiplash claims may be filed.
