During the hearing of the case, the court heard how a car had tried to get over into the lane where the woman's car was, which she was riding in with her friends.

The woman tried steered into the left lane to avoid the other car and when it tried to re-enter the lane, her car tipped over and rolled four-and-a-half times before making a halt.

The woman was at first mistaken for one of the passengers who experienced a wrongful death. She was found but the doctors had to amputate her right leg just below the knee. In addition, her left arm was also paralyzed.

Even though she suffered a minor brain injury, the woman still went on to finish her master’s degree before being awarded the largest whiplash and personal injury settlement in their county.

It is unknown if the auto giant is planning to appeal the court’s decision in the products liability case.
