Petrol station chaos
One would think that whiplash injury and a whiplash claim would be eminent after a car accident, but this story is a little different.
A Wakefield man escaped injury this week after the vehicle he was driving rolled over while attempting to exit a Shell petrol station at 6:19am.
The 35-year-old motorist, was exiting the station’s parking bay when he attempted to turn left onto the road. However, as he tried to turn the vehicle, he worryingly lost control as he spun on the slippery road and slid into a curb, causing it to roll onto its passenger side, police said.
However, the driver received no injuries as he was wearing his seatbelt. He was able to exit the car without too much trouble.
Police suggested that the wet pavement caused by the early-morning rain resulted in the accident.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
