Passengers suffer whiplash after accident
Following a road accident on the M6 six people have been taken to hospital with various injuries, including whiplash.
According to report the victims sustained personal injuries after a collision involving a van and a people carrier in which they were travelling on the northbound carriageway between junction 13 Stafford South and Junction 14 Stafford North.
It added that both sides of the motorway had to be closed to enable the air ambulance to land and convey victims to hospital.
A woman, who was in her 50s, had to be taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with a neck injury.
She was, according to report, a passenger in the van.
Other injured passengers were taken to Stafford Hospital.
Amongst them were a woman and two men in their 20s who suffered whiplash injuries, a nine-year-old girl that complained of abdominal injuries and a man in his 40s who suffered neck and back injuries.
