Whiplash winter warning

A leading price comparison site has warned motorists to take car on the roads as icy conditions means that accidents are more likely. The light bumps which are caused by skidding in the road means that
whiplash claims are more likely to occur. The comparison site advises people to check tire pressure, top up on anti freeze and take extra care on the roads, avoid tailgating and remember that people might be dazzled by late sunrises and early sunsets.
Will Thomas, car insurance expert said that “we would advise motorists to take more care when driving, especially in winter months. As well as the obvious danger of careless driving, accidents could also cost motorists financially."
This advice comes after the AA has reported that whiplash claims are pushing up insurance premiums, and this looks set to rise in the winter months.
