Woman wins case for her whiplash injured dog
When an individual becomes a lawyer it is inevitable that they will encounter strange cases and it is their job to do the best for their client and win a successful
compensation claim. In this case, a Manchester Lawyer had to win a
whiplash claim for a woman’s pet dog.
Hilary Meredith, who runs a law practice secured £150 in damages for a dog, whose owner claimed it was suffering from whiplash injuries due to a road accident.
The dog, named Snooky, was blissfully unaware of any car accident until it was catapulted into the front of the family’s car in the pile-up. It did not eat for a week and was ill.
Lawyers may take one small step for a man, but one giant dog step for dogkind! Hilary stated that she just took it all in her stride: “The clients insisted there should be a claim for him, and the insurers paid up.”
