Accident lawyer speaks out about whiplash injury
A car accident and personal injury lawyer commented that whiplash claims and injury claims were on the up. He said how whiplash injury was the most common injury as a result of a road collision, and estimated that over one million people suffer from whiplash in car crashes every year.
Due to the high number of whiplash claims, He said that whiplash injury was the most common occurrence after an accident and that 25% of people suffer from neck injuries which lead to disability and chronic pain.
The research also found that most car seats failed the whiplash test and also exposed that the majority of victims do not seek immediate medical attention because they feel that their personal injuries are not serious enough.
Therefore, there are concerns that those who delay seeking aid could affect their insurance claim, because insurance companies could deny the victim of their claim as it is difficult to prove.
