Most cars fail whiplash test

Whiplash injury ranges in severity from person to person, while one individual may experience mild symptoms another person may suffer months if not years in excruciating pain. As it stands rough estimates indicate that there are over one million people that suffer from whiplash following car accidents each year. From this data it has been concluded that it is in fact the most common injury that individuals suffer as a results from a motor vehicle collision.

The damage it causes to a person can be numerous as it involves injury to joints, ligaments, cervical muscles, discs and nerves. Over 25 per cent of people that suffer with neck injuries have to endure life with chronic pain in the area and for others it can result in disability for life. Worryingly as developed as cars have become in the areas of security and safety over the past decades, most cars on the road today actually failed the “Whiplash test”.

Many people decline immediate medical attention while still at the scene of an accident because they don't think their injuries are ‘serious enough’. Professionals in the legal community heavily advise against this as some insurance companies will deny your whiplash claim if you ‘choose’ to delay treatment.
