Whiplash victim wins compensation after bus collision
A woman has won compensation after suffering whiplash injuries when her car was shunted by a bus.
Louise Brown, 31, was awarded £3,000 for neck injuries she suffered in the 2006 accident. Her car was hit by a van as she waited at traffic lights, which in turn had been shunted by a bus. She was taken to hospital after the incident and later it was confirmed she had whiplash injuries after she experienced headaches and neck pain for a period after the accident.
Ms Brown, of County Durham, commented on her experience: "It was a shock. I was sitting in my car and all of a sudden I was thrown forward by the impact of the van. Thankfully I didn't hit any other vehicles in front of me which may have made the situation even worse. My injuries were slight, but they were painful and could have been worse."Updated on 8/15/2008
