Girl gang assault causes whiplash

A teenage girl who was attacked while out walking her dogs is suffering from
whiplash injuries and shock , along with minor cuts and bruises.
The girl, who wishes not to be named, says that she can no longer go out by herself. Police are investigating the attack which they believe may have been filmed on one of the attackers mobile phones.
She said: “I'm not sleeping at all and I'm being sick and shaking all the time. I can't go out by myself because I've been threatened.”
She said that this is not the first time she has been attacked and that she does not know the attackers. However, she believes it may be linked to an old feud over a boy.
Her mother said: After the first attack, the doctor said she had bad whiplash and was in shock.
"On Saturday, she went to the park with our two dogs and a girl got her by her hair and shoved her head down in the mud and five others joined in kicking her.
"I don't know how I'm going to keep her safe. I'm worried they're going to kill her."
The attacks have meant that she has missed a few months of school during a vital period. She is due to take her
GCSEs next year but fears she may have to do resits due the amount of school she has missed.
A
police spokeswoman said that they are investigating the attacks and wish to keep everyone safe.
She said: "We are investigating the circumstances surrounding an assault that took place on Saturday, May 31, near the Working Men's Club, in Syston.
"The victim, a 15-year-old girl, was assaulted by a group of girls and sustained minor injuries in the incident. Officers are investigating reports that mobile phones may have been used to film the incident."
