Biggest travel Operator under scrutinisation for 120 food poisoning cases

One of the largest travel operators in UK has been targeted for a public liability claim following two separate incidents that took place at two of its hotels. The first claim is based upon a food poisoning incident that took place at a hotel in Egypt. During this outbreak there were cases of serious illnesses like C. Difficile and Salmonella. The people affected by these diseases are hoping to receive pay outs that compensate for whatever they have suffered.

The claims made by the Solicitors who are working on a no win no fee basis for the holiday victims are stating the fact that the tour operator was negligent in failing to ensure basic hygiene standards and failing to properly take into account the illness of hotel guests. The second incident involves similar food poisoning cases but in a different hotel at Dominican Republic. The tour operator here also was alleged for failure to provide good quality food to the people. All this resulted in severe illness of the holiday makers. The biggest factor is that the number of claimant included in both the cases is around 120.

A spokesman for the tour operator commented, "The health and wellbeing of our customers is of paramount importance. We are concerned to learn of any alleged illness in any of our properties.” Nothing more could be commented as the case is still under scrutinisation through a proper legal procedure.
