Compensation for a pothole injury
A man has been awarded with a sum of compensation after he sustained personal injuries when he tripped on a pothole in a pavement.
The man, who is in his early forties, had been walking near his home; he did not see the pothole on the ground, but he tripped and sustained personal injuries to his wrist as a result of the fall.
The man was taken to hospital where he had an operation on his wrist. He claims that he still feels pain in the affected area and cannot make full use of his hand.
He decided to seek compensation for the personal injuries that he sustained. He contacted a personal injury lawyer to enquire about making a claim against the council for the accident, making his claim on the grounds that the council should have properly maintained and inspected the area, where the accident took place.
He was successful with his claim and received a sum of more than £15,500 in compensation
