Parents file personal injury claim against local authority

The parents of a boy who feel off the seesaw and suffered head injuries are taking legal actions against the local authority.

The 12 year old boy fell off from the seesaw and landed on the concrete edge of a rubber matted site while playing last month. He had to be quickly admitted to the hospital and later on transferred to another one.

Due to this incident, his parents are suing the local authority for personal injury with the help of a reputed counselor.

The injured boy’s mother said that they are not at all concerned by the money but they want justice was their child. They want the local authority to admit their responsibility, acknowledge the incident and take further actions to prevent such incidents from happening again. She added that the seesaw should be immediately removed until the playground is mended and the safety of the children ensured.

Responding to the legal action and the request, the local authority’s spokesperson said that he cannot comment on this issue or divulge any information as the case is still in its initial phase.
