Man receives £1.4 million for moped accident

The High Court in London have awarded a compensation claim package last week when the insurance company of a driver at fault was ordered to pay up.

The claimants injury lawyers said that the incident happened during the summer of 2005 when he was driving his moped along Well Hall Road in Eltham and a car collided into him.

He suffered serious personal injury to his head after being flung from the two-wheeler.

The extent of his injuries meant he was left badly brain damaged and thus forced to remain in hospital for six months.

His mobility is now limited and he has issues with his cognitive abilities. He is now under the full-time care of his wife and he is unable to leave the house by himself.

His injuries also mean that he can no longer work to support his family. As a result, a claim against the insurers of the car was launched by his family, to help provide financial stability for him and his family.

After a long wait, he was finally given an accident package worth £1.4 million.

The victim’s wife and children were also awarded small compensation payouts for the care they have given the injured man since the accident.
