Company to pay compensation for personal injuries to children
A pushchair manufacturer has agreed to the compensation claims filed by the families of children who have suffered personal injury after using their products.
Injury lawyers of the families say that the children sustained the injuries after trapping their fingers in buggy hinges.
A company spokesman said that the company is not admitting liability for the injuries, despite the payouts.
He added that the company’s team of lawyers are in discussions with the legal representatives for the children.
The solicitors working on behalf of the families of the children say over 40 individuals will receive compensation settlements.
It is not clear at this moment about the exact total to be paid to each claimant but it is likely to be calculated on the seriousness of the personal injury.
All children who are in line for the awards will gain access to the money when they turn 18.
At least 12 children were forced to have amputations to their fingers when they became stuck in the hinges of some pushchairs, it was revealed.
