Rollercoaster crash could lead to personal injury claims
A number of personal injury claims may come about once a report by the health and safety executive into the big dipper crash is released.
Around 33 people were involved in the dramatic roller coaster crash on Blackpool's Pleasure beach with 21 of those being described in reports as walking wounded.
The types of injuries are not serious but are expected to range from whiplash to broken bones to back injuries.
One visitor to the theme park described how earlier that same day the ride was close due what theme park bosses described as 'unrelated reasons'.
He said: "It was about 4.30pm and we were looking for a ride without a long queue.
"We saw a lot of people coming away from the Big Dipper so we thought we'd try there. We tried to get on but a man told us it was closed because of 'problems'.
"He didn't say what the problems were or when it would reopen."
The news that people had to be rescued of the rise a week earlier does not bode well for theme park bosses and any claims that may come their way.
