Boy suffers personal injury due to medical negligence

An 11 year old boy from America suffered horrific personal injuries, possibly leaving him dependent on others. Kaleb Davis suffered a
personal injury after a tree limb fell suddenly on his left shoulder.
Doctors gave the boy heparin (a blood thinner) because they were concerned about a blood clot in his shoulder artery. However, two days later Kaleb could not move his legs, and doctors realised that he suffered from bleeding around his neck and spinal cord area.
However, the bleeding was induced by the drug dosage he had been provided, which then caused the bleeding to spread through the spinal cord, in the neck region.
The medical negligence worsened, when the doctors located a mass in the skull, but one of the screws were screwed in too far, to which the family’s medical expert stated that the screw had been turned about 36 one half turns too many.
The screw caused bleeding, leading to Kaleb having a stroke and several seizures. As a result Kaleb now suffers from severe cognitive impairments from the brain injury.
A personal injury lawyer won the family over $10million in compensatory damages.
