Personal injury claimant wins

A man who suffered
personal injuries from poor road maintenance has been awarded
compensation after the fall left him with brain damage. Kyle Bullock 33, tripped in a deep pothole and fell heavily striking his head on the edge of a second pothole.
Kyle was then taken to hospital where it was discovered he had suffered traumatic brain injury and multiple skull fractures. His personal injury lawyer handled the case, and the defendant admitted that the surface was in poor condition, but refused to take responsibility that the road caused the accident.
After negotiations, the organisation accepted the majority of responsibility of 72.5% and Kyle received £75,000 interim payment, but it is expected that he will be awarded more once the claim has been fully qualified.
Kyle’s friend stated: “Kyle’s accident left him with serious brain damage and changed our lives forever. This money is there to assist Kyle with his financial and rehabilitation needs. Money can never bring back what he has lost but it will allow Kyle to live as good a life as possible, getting access to therapy in Australia and helping him to build his life.”Updated on 24/10/2008
