Personal injury solicitors: a variety of general damages

A
personal injury occurs where you suffer some form of injury, either physical or psychological. The personal injury results of somebody else's wrongdoing. Very often reffered as an accident, it may have taken place at work, on somebody else’s property, on the road or on the pavement.
If you have suffered a physical or psychological injury as a result of an accident that was not your fault, in the last three years, you may be entitle to have a claim for
compensation. A personal injury compensation claim may entitle you to get some damages. There are two different kind of damages that can be claimed for: general damages and special damages.
The first covers non-financial losses including damages for pain and suffering. There are more likely to be the injuries themselves, the suffering caused by them and possibly the future suffering. The
loss of amenity is another apect of the general damages and covers everything that affects the enjoyment and pleasure of life. The last aspect is known as
loss of congenial employment. This one is relevant when a personal injury may make it difficult to find a job in the future.
