Assistant receives payout for work injury
A woman has been compensated worth tens of thousands of pounds after she sustained a personal injury at work.
The woman was employed as an administrative assistant, where at the time of her injury she was instructed to lift boxes that were very heavy to another part of the building.
She completed the tasks unaided as no one provided help for her when she asked other colleagues. As she lifted one of the boxes, the woman tore a muscle in her shoulder. After the work accident, the woman was taken to hospital, where she found out the extent of her personal injury.
She also found out that she needed to have emergency surgery to mend the torn muscle. The woman stated that she is affected by movement restrictions in her arm, even after the operation took place.
The woman decided to contact a no win no fee solicitor to make a compensation claim for the personal injuries that she sustained in the work accident. With their help, the woman was awarded with more than £60,000 in compensation.
