Postman to receive no win no fee compensation

A postman is going to receive a no win no fee compensation payout for the knee injury which he suffered when he tripped on the cracked paving stone outside an old women’s frontal door.

After getting involved in the accident outside the 61 year old women’s home, the Teesside postman sustained serious knee ligament injury which requires a keyhole surgery. The victim had to resign from the work because of the seriousness of the injury and has started working as a handyman.

The old lady who has not contested the claim is now disputing the outcome which is a 5 figure payout to the postman. According to the old lady, when the postman arrived at her home she and her dog was not there at the time of the accident. Therefore, the no win no fee claim of the solicitor of the postman that the victim tripped on the paving stone after being startled by her dog is utterly baseless.

With the outcome announced, the old lady is seeking a leave to appeal against the verdict. If the grandmother is unsuccessful in her claim she may end up loosing her home as she has no public liability insurance drawn to cover up the claimant’s compensation.

However, the postman is unmoved by the condition of the old lady. He retaliated by saying that he had been around 3 years since the accident actually occurred. The old lady has turned up only once in the court and have never responded to any of the letters of his solicitor.
