Man seeks 300K personal injury compensation

A former scaffolder and minor league football player is hoping to pursue a compensation claim for more than £300,000.

He faces an uncertain future after a car accident, but his no win no fee lawyers were successful in prosecuting the at-fault driver.

The 36-year-old was unloading scaffolding poles in September 2009 when a Jaguar car hit him. As a result of the accident, the father-of-three sustained severe personal injuries to his legs.

His lawyers said that he is still undergoing treatment for his injuries. The man said he is, as of yet, unable to return to work.

The former Oxford United player said, "There is still a risk I could lose my leg if things go wrong. No-one is sure about the future."

"Our client's football career is ruined. He has played all his life, but will never play again. There is also a risk he will never be able to scaffold again and that is his livelihood," said his no win no fee lawyers.

The victim is hoping for a six figure sum that would secure his and his family's financial future.
