£7,000 compensation for car accident
No win no fee lawyers for a police officer have been successful in getting him £7,000 in compensation following a car accident.
They argued that 42-year-old Greater Manchester Police officer was forced to go on light duties after a car incident.
He needed two operations on his knee following the accident in April 2007.
It was reported that he was parking his car at a car park in Royton, when it was hit by a BMW on the front passenger side.
He suffered from pain in his neck, back and left knee, and was diagnosed with acceleration injuries to his neck and spine and soft tissue injuries to his knee.
After some days it was impossible for him to walk far and had to be put onto administrative duties at work.
He had knee surgery in June 2007 and then needed a second operation in April 2008.
His no win no fee injury lawyers were able to settle the claim out of court after a lengthily legal battle. The insurers of the driver of the BMW refused to accept liability.
His no win nofee lawyers said: “The insurers refusal to take responsibility for the actions of their insured meaning we had to fight this case the whole way which was trying for our client but we stood our ground against the insurers and achieved a good settlement.”
