Injured man seeks work compensation
A Texas man who lost the use of one his legs after a tragic work accident has begun legal action against a number of firms who he believes bear responsibility for his injuries.
According to court documents the man was hired to install a heating and air conditioning system at an apartment building when the accident occurred.
While he was attempting to install the heating system another employee had negligently stacked a substantial amount of plaster-board up against an adjacent wall. The plaster-board then fell against the man, trapping him underneath it and causing him severe damage to his leg.
The case documents detail the fact that the man has incurred $100,000 in medical costs due to the accident and is seeking compensation of up to $10 million for pain and suffering, loss of wages and the medical expenses.
"The impact of the sheet rock against [the man's] body was violent and terrible. [He] was pinned underneath the sheetrock, where his body sustained severe and permanent injuries," allege the court filings.
If you have been involved in an accident, you can file a no win no fee claim for compensation.
