Man wins compensation after work injury
No win no fee lawyers have revealed how a shoulder injury can lead to a more serious work injury, thus filing for personal injury compensation.
A 63-year-old man from Bournemouth was considering retirement when his employer of 13-years persuaded him to stay on for another four years.
Despite feeling his old age, he accepted the offer, as he loved his work as a maintenance man on a Derbyshire estate.
His employer enlisted him in gardening duties, as it was thought this would be less strain. However, this ideology proved to be very wrong.
He suffered a work injury when he was gathering apples from the estates main orchard when he received a shoulder injury in a slip and trip fall due to a loose cable from an electric sander.
The work accident left the employee with two secondary fractures and a broken clavicle, not to mention three days in hospital.
No win no fee lawyers helped the worker win £10,240 compensation, to which his employers were eager to help settle.
