Electrical company awards worker compensation
A man has been awarded with thousands of pounds in compensation after he sustained personal injuries in a work related incident.
The man, who is in his early fifties worked for an electrical company where his job role involved working extensively with vibrating tools such as whackers, hand-rammers and Stihl saws. He had worked in this role for nearly 30 years and then went on to work as a joiner, which involved similar duties and also work with vibrating tools.
Overtime the man realised that he was being affected by his working patterns and visited a doctor. He found out that he had developed a condition known as hand arm vibration syndrome.
He decided to contact a personal injury lawyer to seek compensation for the personal injuries that he sustained. With the help of the lawyer the man received a payout of £8,750 after his employer admitted that they were liable for the accident.
