Woman sues after being hit on head
Personal injury lawyers are helping a female file a compensation claim after she was allegedly hit on the head by a concrete block.
She claims that the personal injury occurred whilst she was attending a children’s dance recital at a community centre two years ago.
Filed in June 2009, the lawsuit is seeking damages for the claimant – who works as a dance director at a Performing Arts School.
According to the case, the writs claims that the defendant, the local government, negligently and carelessly placed the unsecured, concrete, form block on the stage for a dance performance.
The claim adds that the defendant failed to correct the problem or post a warning sign stating the hazard.
The victim’s injury lawyers said that their client sustained injury to her body and suffered shock and injury to her nervous system - to which neurological disability could be a possibility.
The claims package asks for economic damages, general damages and punitive damages.
