Warning for drivers over the holiday period
Motorists have been warned about indulging in drinking over the holiday season by a legal expert.
A personal injury lawyer who also specialises with road incidents has warned drivers to be careful of getting behind the wheel the morning after an evening of festive drinking.
The lawyer warned that drinking even small quantities of alcohol can have an effect on a driver’s level of concentration while they are on the road and could increase their risk of being involved in a car accident.
She said: “People need to know that they are running the risk of being caught driving over the limit or, even worse, being involved in a collision.”
The personal injury lawyer also added that: “Just because someone who has drunk quite a lot does not feel drunk, or because they may not to be able to smell drink on their breath, does not mean that they are safe to drive. They are still a danger to pedestrians and other motorists.”
