Court gives bus company bumpy ride

A pensioner has brought a personal injury claim against a bus company in the West Midlands.

The elderly man was on his way home from visiting friends, when the number 32 bus he was travelling on, collided into a taxi that was stationary at a set of traffic lights.

The claimant stated; "It was horrific...the bus driver left the bus without checking to see that any of the passengers were unharmed and he just began shouting at the taxi driver who we could clearly see was shocked and disturbed."

Police reports show that CCTV footage from the bus and the high road prove that the bus driver was negligent and was not not driving with due care and attention.

The 65 year old man who suffers from arthritis and back problems has been immobile for over a month and has been told by doctors that he may permanently have to take a walking stick when he leaves his home for support when walking.

The Bus company states " We are looking into this matter we are not by any means excusing what happened but we have to gather all information before pointing the finger at anyone."
