£50,000 compensation for assaulted twin brothers
Two brothers have been compensated with a sum of £25,000 each for the compensation claim they have made against the police officers. They have alleged that the police offers have beaten and assaulted them.
According to the twin brothers they had been protesting outside the Israeli embassy against the Israeli operation in Gaza last year when they become the victim of the police onslaught which they claimed were unprovoked attacks. One of the brothers revealed that they were not posing any threats to the police or anyone around but the police officials still struck them on their heads.
The other twin added that the officials including the one who attacked him after the attack tried to protect themselves from any punishment by hiding their shoulder numbers.
They were later compensated for the public liability claim with an amount of £25,000 each for the injuries and trauma suffered along with an apology for the unnecessary amount of force used in the incident.
The solicitors of the twin brothers later on stated that the compensation amount and the apology somewhat compensates and justifies the claims they have sought. According to the sources it is believed that on the day of the incident around 76 people were arrested and charged for the protests and 55 officials were injured.
