Man wins compensation claim for crash injuries
The injury lawyers of a Kettering man have successfully won him a compensation claim payout for injuries sustained in a bus accident.
The 51-year-old was involved in a horrifying bus accident in Wellingborough in the year 2006.
Speaking of the accident, he said: "I went to grab the handrail and when the driver braked, I went flying down the middle of the bus. I hit a bolt at the bottom of one of the handrails."
His lawyers told the court that the man blacked out soon after and came to under the windscreen. Upon waking he discovered he had neck, back and hip pain, as well as deep wounds on his flesh.
The man's personal injury was so severe, that he decided to put his career as an early education specialist on hold.
Since then he has been engaged in a lengthy battle for compensation. Now, more than four years after the accident, his claim has been successful.
"This was a lengthy and very difficult compensation claim but it just shows that litigation can take a long time, but if you have a good claim you will get there in the end," said his injury lawyers.
