Fall victim begins compensation fight
A man who fell of a 30ft bridge during an illegal rave has begun his hunt for a compensation claim, the fall left Andrew Henley, a former shop fitter took the best part of a year to recover from his accident and claims that he still suffers mental and physical anguish a year after the fall.
The rave which took place by a disused rail way line in fields near keel has been fenced off now and Mr Henley claims that if it was like that before the accident would have never happened. Mr Andrew Henley said "The path to the rave was marked out with glowsticks, but some of them had been nicked. You had to go over the tunnel to get down, but because it was so dark I went straight over the hedge and fell on to the railway line."
Andrew was in a coma and after he awoke he couldn’t walk and had no memory of the accident, it took 7 months of rehabilitation before he could go back to work only to be made redundant a few months later. Andrew has started his compensation proceedings although it is unclear who owns the land, some have suggested it belongs to Network Rail who has failed to comment on the situation.
