Women cut from car

A female motorist and a passenger had to be cut free from a vehicle during the weekend, after a horrific car accident.

The crash occurred in Cambridge on Sunday and forced road closures, whilst firefighters rescued two injured women trapped in a motor.

Witnesses described their shock after seeing parts of the car thrown across the busy junction after it crashed into a taxi.

Several fire crews were called to the accident scene where they then used cutting equipment. Two women were taken to Addenbrooke’s hospital with personal injury, after they were freed from the roof of the black car.
