Norfolk teen dies in car accident after police chase
A teenage passenger recently died in a car crash after a police chase which took place in Caister, Norfolk. Also, two passengers and the driver suffered more minor personal injuries.
The Ford Fiesta, which, two days before the accident took place, had been reported stolen, came off the road a few minutes after midnight, smashing into a wall.
Police gave chase after the car’s driver refused to stop for police, who were stopping cars as part of an investigation of reports by the area’s residents of an aggravated burglary.
The front passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The car’s driver, suffered serious personal injury from the car accident. The vehicle’s backseat passengers, who were also reported to be teenagers, suffered minor personal injuries.
Suffolk Constabulary is currently investigating the incident. If the driver, or another person, is found to be responsible for the car crash then there is a chance that the injured passengers, or the family of the dead passenger, may be entitled to make a car accident claim for compensation.
