Man receives £50.000 after car accident

A man has won £50,000 pounds in compensation after a car accident left him suffering from spinal injuries, the man suffered the injuries after the car he was driving was hit in the rear. The 61 year old who cannot be named for legal reasons received the £50,000 pounds in compensation in an out of court settlement.

Early in 2005, he began to suffer from pins and needles in his arm and he was diagnosed with a trapped nerve in his spine which had been caused by the car crash. Since the incident, he has not been able to return to his job as a fitter for PZ Cussons, not being able to return to work is one of the main reasons for the large payout.

He commented: "My injuries turned out to be much worse than I had ever imagined. I am now out of work because I can no longer lift heavy objects."
