Fatal car accidents
It is clear to everyone that driving is a responsibility that is not to be taken lightly. Car accidents are a grim but very real part of a modern world.
It has now been established that every 13 minutes, in America, a death is caused by a car accident. It has been reported that in America the number of car accidents and road related incidents is steadily increasing. The problem is not restricted to just the states.
In England the government has backed many campaigns to create an awareness of road safety. ‘Kill your speed, not a child’, ‘Think twice, think bike’ and other slogans have become well known in the UK. The government has also made an effort to crack down on drink and drug related incidents by regularly testing motorists.
In America, individuals between the ages of 1-33 are more likely to die from a car accident than any other fatality. This figure was achieved despite the country enforcing stricter traffic laws and providing funding for improvements to traffic safety.
