Home and Away actor in car accident

An actor from popular Australian soap Home and Away has been involved in a car accident, according to the Herald Sun.

Todd Lasance, who plays Aden Jeffries on the show, was involved in a collision with a Honda Civic driven by an 80 year-old woman last weekend. After having to be freed from his sports car, he and a 21 year-old female passenger were reportedly taken to the Royal North Shore hospital. Police officer Bob Bell was reported as saying: "The driver of the Toyota suffered bruising and soreness to his chest and minor cuts to his hand. The passenger was reportedly in a serious condition."

Since the accident, Lasance has returned to work and a spokesman for the Seven network, who produces the show, said he was "fine and back at work". The condition of his passenger has not been revealed.

His character, Aden, was given a permanent role in the show earlier this year and he has been popular with fans since.Updated on 8/15/2008
