Car passenger compensated after crash
A man has been compensated with a five figure payout after he sustained personal injuries when he was involved in a car accident.
The man, who was a passenger in a car, had been sleeping while in the vehicle. The driver of the car was attempting to overtake another vehicle, when their car drove over a patch of ice on the road, skidded and rolled over landing upside down on the ground.
The man sustained personal injuries as a result of the crash, but he still managed to get out of the vehicle with the help of a person passing by. He was concerned that the vehicle would have caught fire soon after the crash.
He was taken to hospital, where he found out that he had fractured a number of vertebrae in his spine and had to have an operation straight away. The man had to take off several months from work to allow the fractures to heal.
He decided to contact a personal injury lawyer in order to seek an accident claim. With the help of the lawyer, he was able to receive a £50,000 payout.
