Accident claims launched by promising polo player
A car accident claim for around £300,000 has been launched by a promising polo player after a car crash ruined his career prospects.
The 21-year-old played alongside Prince Harry at the Hurtwood Park Polo Club, where he was a member.
It was reported that the young man was involved in the crash while travelling in a team mate's car, in March 2004.
The 24-year-old driver of the car lost control of his vehicle which eventually hit a tree.
As a result of the accident, the passanger suffered serious personal injury. The polo player has now launched an accident claim and alleges his team mate, who was the driver, failed to see a bend in the road.
His injury lawyers are convinced that this makes him liable for their client's car accident injuries.
His thigh was shattered in the crash and he underwent surgery to have a metal rod inserted into it, said the injury lawyers.
The writ, submitted in the High Court, states that the claimants prospects as a promising international polo career have been ruined by the length of time he had to spend in recovery.
