Accident claims likely after four-vehicle pile-up
Accident claim compensation may be sought after a four-vehicle pile-up took place on the A43, outside of Northampton.
A minor car accident involving a VW Passat and a Ford Transit van travelling in the Northampton direction, triggered a more serious collision as a Nissan Vanette travelling behind the two vehicles, crashed into the Transit.
The force of the impact from the van caused the Nissan to be pushed across the carriageway into the path of oncoming traffic, leading to a further more serious crash with a Scania Tipper.
The driver of the Nissan, a 33-year-old man from Leicester, was air-lifted to Walsgrave hospital in Coventry, but later died due to the severity of his personal injury.
None of the other motorists involved in the traffic collision were seriously hurt. It has not been reported whether any of the motorists involved are likely to make a personal injury compensation claim for the damages which they suffered.
