Teenager wins millions in accident claim

A teenager has won over £2 million in compensation after launching a successful
accident claim.
The boy, from East Sussex, received £2.8 million after he was hit by a vehicle when crossing the A259.
He suffered severe injuries in the accident, including a broken leg and brain damage and decided to take his accident claim to the High Court in London. Despite the driver's insurers refusing to admit liability, a judge at the High Court awarded him compensation for his injuries and his
personal injury lawyer managed to get them to agree to a settlement figure.
The boy's father, speaking after the verdict had been reached, told of his relief that his son had won the compensation he deserved: "It's a total relief to us. The mental and physical stress of caring for someone with a brain injury is exhausting. My advice to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation is to get proper legal advice as soon as possible."
