The Personal Injury Assessment Board, AKA, PIAB, are the independent statutory body who assess the level of compensation an individual who wishes to make a personal injury claim receives.
They have recently re-launched their website, www.injuriesboard.ie, with newly developed features reinforced by the multi-dimensional new website developed by pTools.
These features consist of; the ability to make claims applications online, an online claims estimator which should give help when trying to figure out the amount of compensation that is owed to an accident victim, multi-lingual guides for non-national claimants as well as a health and well-being area to help with recovery after an accident.
Ms Patricia Byron, Chief Executive, InjuriesBoard.ie said: "Since our establishment over four years ago, we have delivered on our remit to process
Personal Injury claims faster and more cost effectively than through the litigation route, with current cost savings running at €100 million per annum."
Tom Skinner the managing director of pTools feels the new systems they have added will really help make the whole process simpler for claimants.
"By adding a facility to claim online, InjuriesBoard.ie gives people the opportunity to provide the Personal Injury claim application information easily and in their own time.
The online application routes directly into the main claim management systems, speeding up the processing of claims." He said. Updated on 24/06/2008
